PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print management device capable of flexibly managing restriction on a print function in each user.

SOLUTION: A network print system stores data related to the restriction on the print function in each user. When desiring to perform printing using the restricted function, the user transmits requirement of restriction release to a manager (S169). The manager sets whether to release the restriction or not (S105). When performing the release, a function restriction release code is issued (S107). The user uses the code, so that the restriction is temporarily released.
