<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device which can suppress a decrease of total flux of light and can prevent thermal degradation and a decline in light emission efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The optical semiconductor device 1A includes a substrate 2 having a recess 2a; a light emitting element 3 which is arranged inside the recess 2a and emits light; a translucent fluorescent member 4 containing a phosphor K which is arranged inside the recess 2a in such a manner as to cover the light emitting element 3 while being away from the light emitting element 3 and converts the wavelength of the light emitted from the light emitting element 3; and a translucent sealing member 5 which is arranged inside the recess 2a to seal the light emitting element 3 and the translucent fluorescent member 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
