PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling rail for a sliding door superior in design, and having a metallic rail member composed of a plurality of strips of rails for making a door roller travel, by preventing an overturning accident by a slip on the traveling rail for the sliding door. SOLUTION: This traveling rail 1 for the sliding door is composed of the metallic rail member 12 composed of the plurality of strips of rails 12a for making the sash roller 4a travel, and a nonmetallic clearance filling-up member 13 arranged between the plurality of strips of these rails 12a and formed so that a surface becomes substantially flush with a surface of the rails 12a.
