PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a waiting time from acquiring a CT image of a subject till completing an aided diagnosis algorithm. SOLUTION: A region specification section 15 specifies a 2-D seed point of a specific point M on a scan image SD of a subject 4, an extraction section 25 extracts, for example, lungs Ha and Hb of the subject 4 in the CT image VD based on the 2D seed point on the scan image SD, and a CAD processing section 26 executes an appropriate aided diagnosis algorithm for each of the lungs Ha and Hb to detect the features and sites of disease such as lung cancer of the respective lungs Ha and Hb and digitalizes and finds the features of the disease.
