PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for producing frozen dessert that enables production of optimal hard frozen dessert, regardless of the surrounding environment, or the like. SOLUTION: The frozen dessert-producing device is provided with a cooling cylinder 8 for cooling a mix to produce frozen dessert; a cooling device for cooling the cooling cylinder; a beater 10 for beating the mix in the cooling cylinder; a beater motor 12 for driving the beater; a cylinder sensor for detecting the temperature of the mix in the cooling cylinder; an electric current sensor for detecting the electric current conducted to the beater motor; and a control device for controlling cooling the cooling cylinder by the cooling device and the operation of the beater motor. The control device stops cooling of the cooling cylinder under prescribed cooling stoppage conditions, based on the temperature of the mix in the cooling cylinder detected by the cylinder sensor, and stops the beater motor under the condition where the conducted electric current to the beater motor detected by the electric current sensor is within a prescribed value, after stoppage of the cooling the cooling cylinder.
