PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor that uses a fluid bearing incorporating a heat radiation measure for lead wire treatment, relating to a dynamic pressure bearing for driving OA device such as a magnetic disc device. SOLUTION: The spindle motor comprises a stator core 8 fixed to a housing 1, a coil 10 wound on the stator core 8 that has been treated for insulation, a copper foil wire 11 which is formed on the surface of the housing 1 through an insulating film and is drawn outside, and a terminal of the coil 10 connected to the copper foil wire 11 on the surface of the housing 1.
