PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light deflector the shaft collapse of which is made small by removing the inclination of a bearing-fixed part due to a warp of a base stock of a metal-based printed board or the residual deformation of the metal-based printed board after punched; and to provide a high-precision optical scanning device and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The light deflector is configured such that: a polygon mirror-fixed rotating body is supported by a bearing; the bearing is fixed to the metal-based printed board; and a mounting reference surface to a box unit is provided, wherein a plane for fixing the bearing, which is almost parallel to the mounting reference surface to be fit to a box unit and the base stock of which is made different from that of the printed board, is arranged on the printed board so that the bearing is fixed to the printed board in such a state that the fixed part of the bearing is abutted on the plane for fixing the bearing.
