PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an Rho kinase inhibitor for treating various diseases as a new pharmaceutical, and also as a reagent or a diagnostic reagent. SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical containing the Rho kinase inhibitor is provided. The pharmaceutical containing the Rho kinase inhibitor is useful especially as a hypertension remedy, an angina remedy, a cerebral vasospasm inhibitor, an asthma remedy, a peripheral circulation disorder remedy, a premature birth preventive, an arteriosclerosis remedy, an anticancer drug, an anti-inflammatory drug, an immunosuppressant, an autoimmune disease remedy, an anti-AIDS drug, a contraceptive, an infection preventive for digestive organs, an osteoporosis remedy, a retinopathy remedy and a cerebral function ameliorant.
