<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize excellent durability, while securing excellent engine mounting performance, without requiring an excessive space for mounting a priming mechanism, in a fuel pump having a manual priming mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel pump 1A with the priming mechanism has a pump mechanism driven by a predetermined driving means and forcibly feeding fuel to the downstream side by introducing the fuel into a pump room 6 from the upstream side, and the priming mechanism having a priming pump member composed of a substantially vessel-shaped elastic raw material, having the inside connected to the fuel passage side by a communicating hole 8 and capable of introducing the fuel, filling the fuel in a fuel passage connected to the pump room 6 from the fuel storage vessel side by manually repeating compressive deformation and elastic restoration.
