PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a deterioration of an image quality of an image after defective pixel correction by correcting the defective pixel with good accuracy. SOLUTION: An imaging device has an imaging portion 2 including an image sensor 4 in which a plurality of light receiving elements are arranged in matrices, a defective information storing portion 16 storing position information of a defective light receiving element of the image sensor 4, an imaging range shifting means 6 which shifts an imaging range from a first imaging range which is a desired imaging object range to a second imaging range in which the position received by the defective light receiving element is set so as not to be overlapped with the defective pixel within the first imaging range, an imaging controller 8 which controls the imaging portion 2 and the imaging range shifting means 6 so as to perform the first imaging by which the image of the first imaging range is taken and the second imaging by which the image of the second imaging range is taken by a single imaging operation, and a defective pixel correcting portion 14 which corrects the defective pixel information by the defective light receiving element among the taken image information of the first imaging with pixel information of the second imaging corresponding to the position, based on the position information of the defective light receiving element which is stored in the defective information storing portion 16.
