PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile head connection structure for connecting a steel pipe pile to footing provided at the lower part such as a base of a column, having low fixing degree of the pile head connecting part, and decreasing bending strength acting on a pile body. SOLUTION: In this pile head connection structure, the footing and the steel pipe pile are connected to each other through an insert member having a circular section smaller than the pile diameter such as a steel pipe filled with concrete, the outer peripheral part of which is at least partially covered with a reinforcing member taken as the body. The body of the insert member is concentrically disposed along the central axis, and provided with a plurality of reinforcement bars, both end parts of which are projected from the upper and lower end faces of the body of the insert member. The upper and lower parts of the body of the insert member and the projecting parts of the reinforcement bars are buried in concrete filling the lower end part of the footing or the pile head part of the steel pipe pile.
