A display apparatus is provided to display clear images by reducing error between image data applied from an external device and images displayed in a display unit. A display pane(110) includes red, green, and blue horizontal pixels arranged in a vertical direction. A data compensator(120) receives first to third image data corresponding to red, green, and blue vertical pixels from an external device, and compensates for the first to third image data using first to third compensation data. A timing controller(130) receives the first to third compensation data and outputs data and gate control signals in response to a control signal from the external device. A data driver(140) receives the first to third compensation data from the timing controller, converts first to third compensation data into data voltages, and applies the converted data voltages to the red, green, and blue horizontal pixels. A gate driver(150) outputs sequentially gate pulses in response to the gate control signal and turns on the red, green, and blue horizontal pixels.
