<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of times that an RF tag reader requests an RF tag to retransmit a packet. <P>SOLUTION: An RF tag reader comprises: a means for receiving, from an RF tag, data comprising at least identification information (UID); a means for replacing a part of the UID with predetermined information; a means for determining whether there is an error in the data comprising the partially-replaced UID; and a means for transmitting a resend request signal to the RF tag when an error is detected. The RF tag reader determines whether there is an error in the UID which is obtained by partially replacing the UID received from the RF tag with the predetermined data. Data are not retransmitted due to an error detected from the predetermined information, the number of times of retransmission request can be reduced compared to the conventional technology. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
