PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide preferable gray reproduction wherein differences between achromatic color axes of image devices having different color gamuts are taken into consideration. SOLUTION: A method of color processing includes an acquisition step of acquiring color gamut information on appearance color spaces of 1st and 2nd image devices; a first conversion step of converting a color signal of the achromatic color axis of the color gamut information into a color signal of a preferable gray axis suitable to the first and second image devices; and a mapping step of mapping the color gamut that the color gamut information of the 1st image device represents in the color gamut that the color gamut information of the 2nd image device represents after the first color conversion.
