PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image extraction device, capable of automatically extracting a form image from image information on a medium containing a form image of business form. SOLUTION: The image extraction device comprises a form storage part preliminarily storing a form of business form having a predetermined area; an image input part for inputting image information on the medium containing the form image of business form; a binary processing part performing binary processing to the input image information to acquire binary image information; a search part searching the predetermined area in the image information based on the acquired binary image information; a position detection part detecting an area position showing the position coordinate of the searched predetermined area; a calculation part calculating a form position showing the position coordinate of the form image in the image information based on the detected area position and the form; and an extraction part extracting the form image from the image information.
