DISPLAY APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display technique for increasing a liquid crystal response speed characteristic without complicating memory configuration and control therefor. SOLUTION: The display apparatus is equipped with: an input means for inputting frame data; frame memory for storing the frame data; a determination means for determining correction data by comparing the input frame data with the frame data immediately precedent to the input and stored frame data; an adding means for adding the correction data to the input frame data; a storage control means for controlling and storing the frame data with the correction data added thereto into the frame memory; a correction means which reads out the frame data stored and controlled by the storage control means at a predetermined frame rate, and corrects the frame data based on the correction data added to the frame data; and the display control means which controls and displays an image on the display based on the corrected frame data.
