The invention relates to a piece of furniture or a device for retracting a furniture part that can be moved relative to a furniture body via a guide unit, the guide unit comprising a structure rail at the furniture body and a partial furniture rail that can be displaced relative to the structure rail at the movable furniture part. According to the invention, the device comprises a force accumulator (12) for providing a retracting force capable of retracting the movable furniture part into a closed position at the furniture body, a dampener for damping the retracting movement of the movable furniture part and a sliding component that can be moved back and forth under the action of the force accumulator (12), thereby allowing a releasable coupling between the furniture body and the movable furniture part. In the coupled state, the force accumulator (12) can be charged by extracting the movable furniture part from the closed position. The invention also proposes transfer means, under the action of which, in the mounted state of the device, a force to be applied for moving the movable furniture part from the closed position into an open position is smaller than the force provided by the force accumulator (12) and acting upon the sliding component in the direction of retraction of the movable furniture part. |
