FIELD: mechanical engineering; diagnosing equipment. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring devices used in diagnosing condition of fuel equipment, namely, to diesel engine cylinders fuel injection advance angle. Proposed method and device make it possible to determine more accurately fuel injection advance angle at any engine speed irrespective of number of cylinders under checking and number of diesel engine strokes. Invention can be used not only in diesel engines, but also in carburetor engines for checking ignition advance angle. Proposed method of checking fuel injection advance angle comes to counting number of constant frequency impulse signals between signals from fuel delivery commencement pickup and piston TDC pickup. Together with said counting, impulse signals are counted between TDC signals through 360° of crankshaft turning and finally, depending on number of strokes of diesel engine and number of cylinders, averaged angle of fuel delivery is determined using formula of invention. Measuring device contains fuel delivery commencement pickups and piston TDC pickup, amplifying and pickup signal forming units, electronic switch, counter of constant frequency impulse signals between fuel delivery and TDC signals, impulse signal storage unit, impulse signal generator connected to input of electronic switch and fuel delivery angle visual indicator. Connected additionally to TDC pickup circuit are electronic switch Sw2 and counter C2 of impulse signals between adjacent TDC through 360° of crankshaft turning which is coupled with additional storage unit SU2, and outputs of storage units SU1 and SU2 are connected with calculating unit CU connected through decoder D with visual indicator VI and additionally imputs of storage units are connected with program measurement number unit PMNU. ^ EFFECT: improved efficiency of measurement, enlarged operating capabilities. ^ 3 cl, 1 dwg |
