A battery is provided to ensure high energy density and excellent cycle characteristics. A battery includes a positive electrode(21), a negative electrode(22), and an electrolyte. The negative electrode comprises a carbon material and has a negative electrode active material layer with a thickness of 75-120 micron. The electrolyte contains a solvent comprising difluoroethylene carbonate. The carbon material comprises a graphite having a spacing of lattice plane(d002) of 0.335-0.338 nm in the direction of the C axis in X ray diffraction. A content of difluoroethylene carbonate in the solvent is 0.1-20 % by mass. |
