A site monitoring system and a providing method thereof are provided to access registered home pages cyclically, to collect information on the home pages, to check changed content in the home pages, and to provide information on the changed content for an administrator if there is the changed content. A site monitoring system comprises a home page management module(200), an HTML source management module(202), an object management module(204), a database control module(206) and a monitoring control module(208). The home page management module(200) stores home page addresses, registered or updated by a user, at a monitoring database, and cyclically accesses a home page where the monitoring database is managed. The HTML source management module(202) requests an HTML source to a home page connected via the home page management module(200), receives the requested HTML source, compares the received HTML source with the source stored at the monitoring database, and determines whether there occurs a change in the home page. The object management module(204) requests information on objects provided in the home page to the home page connected via the home page management module(200), receives the requested information on objects, stores the received information on objects at the monitoring database, compares the received information on objects with prestored information on objects, and checks whether there occurs a change at the objects. The database control module(206) controls data IO of the monitoring database. The monitoring control module(208) monitors a change in the home page by controlling the components(200,202,204,206). |
