METHOD FOR ASSOCIATION RULE MINING

An association rule mining method is provided to reduce an execution time by mining association rules on the basis of an ARCS(Association Rule mining in Compressed Space) algorithm. An association rule mining method comprises the following several steps. Items of all the transactions in an original transaction database are counted and a header table(310) is generated. The items of all the transactions in an original transaction database are recounted, are compared with items of the header table, and are registered at a filtered transaction if the recounted items of the transactions are the same as those of the header table. Filtered transactions are counted and a compressed transaction(320) is generated. The items registered at the filtered transaction are connected to the header table.
