PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position notification system which can detect that a passenger on board a means of transporation such as, e.g. a train, a bus or the like reaches a predesignated railroad station or a predesignated bus stop or that the arrival of the passenger is approached. SOLUTION: At a portable telephone, a PHS or a pocket bell, a position- information recognition means which recognizes present-position information by a GPS is installed, a storage means which stores the position information recognized by the position-information recognition means so as to correspond to a destination name is installed, a registration means which registers position information on a destination position by selecting the destination name stored by the storage means is installed, and a notification means which notifies that the present-position information agrees with the position information on the destination position is installed. |
