A structure for mounting a sun roof is provided to prevent resonance noise caused by up and down vibration of a sun roof glass by directly engaging a sun roof with a mounting bracket. A structure for mounting a sun roof comprises a sun roof assembled to a mounting bracket attached to left and right sides of a sun roof ring reinforcing member(10). The mounting bracket consists of a bracket body, left/right and front welding flanges, and plural engaging bolts. The bracket body is curved to have a 'Gamma' shaped section of a plate type. The left/right and front welding flanges are welded with the sun roof ring reinforcing member to be horizontally curved to the bracket body. The plural engaging bolts installed at the bracket body adjacent to the left/right welding flanges engage the sun roof with the bracket body. The mounting strength of the sun roof is increased by engaging the sun roof through the medium of the two engaging bolts mounted on the mounting bracket to attach the mounting bracket with three welding flanges.
