POLYLACTIC ACID RESIN BASE MATERIAL, FIBER AND CLOTHING HAVING HIGH ANTIBACTERIAL PROPERTY, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid resin base material, etc., having a high antibacterial property. SOLUTION: This polylactic acid resin base material is obtained by treating the surface of the polylactic acid resin with a neutral coating liquid or an alkaline coating liquid to provide the polylactic acid resin base material having a high antibacterial property to at least improve the antibacterial property widely. Especially, treatment with the neutral coating liquid may provides the polylactic acid resin base material with an excellent strength in addition to the improvement of the antibacterial property. Further, a polylactic acid fiber having a high antibacterial property may be also provided by making the polylactic acid resin base material into a fibrous state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
