<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel which has proper horizontal resolution and can be improved in color reproducibility by expanding a color space area, and is proper in luminance. <P>SOLUTION: On the screen of the display panel, one pixel of a first scanning line comprises R, G, B, and G subpixels, and one pixel of a next line comprises R, G, B, and Ye subpixels, C subpixels, with the Ye subpixels being arrayed alternately in the vertical direction. Thus, the Ye subpixels and C subpixels are arrayed alternately at right angles to scanning lines, so that proper horizontal resolution is maintained, and color reproducibility is also made proper by expanding the color space area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
