PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article housing facility capable of suppressing complication of component replacement work and maintenance work while improving conveyance capacity. SOLUTION: A control means 8 is composed to execute one part movable body operating conveyance processing, controlling operation of plural movable bodies 3 such that, in a partial operation mode, in an arrangement order along a longitudinal direction of a traveling path 6 of the plural movable bodies 3, in a state of selecting one part of the movable bodies in a side adjacent to an article support 5 as movable bodies 3 for article conveyance operation, the selected one part of the movable bodies 3 is moved between the article support part 5 and a housing part 4 to be a transfer object of the movable bodies 3 of a plurality of housing parts 4, and movable bodies 3 not selected as the movable bodies 3 for article conveyance operation of the plural movable bodies 3 are made to carry out conveyance of an article B in a form traveling in a retreat position 30 retreated from a traveling range of the movable bodies 3 selected as the movable bodies 3 for article conveyance operation.
