<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gripper cleaning method in a sheet delivery part of a sheet-fed printer capable of surely cleaning a gripper by a simple structure; and a sheet-fed printer. <P>SOLUTION: This method is used for cleaning the gripper 4 in a sheet-fed printer that is structured to hold printed paper sheets carried from the upstream side at a reception position by the gripper 4 provided for an endless traveling body 5, and to carry the paper sheets to a delivery position to deliver them. In the method, the gripper 4 is continuously run at a high speed above 10,000 sheets/hour in a direction opposite to the carrying direction without feeding the sheets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
