<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of making first print time shorter by selecting appropriate initial sequence, and its control method and control program. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with: an image forming part for forming an image by transferring a developer image to recording paper S; a thermal fixing device 152 for fixing the developer image by heating and pressuring the recording paper S; a temperature detection member 156 for detecting the temperature of the thermal fixing device 152; and a CPU 305 for calculating time taken until the thermal fixing device 152 attains predetermined temperature and controlling to perform warmup control that the thermal fixing device 152 is controlled to be at the predetermined temperature and the initial sequence including initial operation. The CPU 305 calculates the time taken until attaining the predetermined temperature in the warmup control and selects to perform one of a plurality of initial sequences having different initial operation patterns from the result of the calculation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
