The hydraulic slide valve (1) actuates the clutch of the engine transmission and is itself actuated by a solenoid. The solenoid is connected to a circuit (5) controlled by the engine ignition switch (7) and two switches (8,9) arranged in parallel. The switch (8) is actuated by a slider (10) so that the switch is closed only when the gear box is in neutral. The switch (9) is normally closed and is opened only when either the accelerator (11) or brake pedal (12) is operated. When the driver removes his foot from the accelerator pedal without applying the brake, the solenoid is energised and the clutch is consequently disengaged, so that the engine cannot act as a brake.
|
