A method for preparing a crude drug composition comprising an extract of ginko leaves is provided to obtain the composition from many crude drugs helpful for health of hair and scalp, which alleviates dandruff and scalp inflammation, maintains healthy scalp and hair and prevents the hair from being fallen off from the scalp. A method for preparing a crude drug composition for preventing dandruff and hair loss comprising an extract of ginko leaves comprises the steps of: (a) after putting 2.0-6.0 wt.% of Acorus gramineus, 0.5-1.0 wt.% of Polygoni Multiflori Radix, 0.5-1.0 wt.% of Portulaca oleracea L., 0.5-1.0 wt.% of Schizandra chinensis baillon, 0.5-1.0 wt.% of Artemisia Herb, 0.5-1.0 wt.% of green tea leaves, and 0.5-1.0 wt.% of Saururus chinensis in 90-95 wt.% of purified water and heating the mixture, extracting it to obtain an extract original solution; (b) after extracting 0.5-1.0 wt.% of green tea leaves 0.5-2.0 wt.% of Schizandra chinensis baillon and 0.5-1.0 wt.% of Glycyrrhiza uralensis with 94-98 wt.% of ethanol, mixing 0.1-2.0 wt.% of L-menthol and 0.05-1.0 wt.% of glycerine therewith to prepare a catalytic agent; (c) mixing 86.63 parts by weight of the extract original solution with 13.37 parts by weight of the catalytic agent to prepare a traditional herb medicine extract original solution; and (d) mixing the 1-10 parts by weight of the traditional herb medicine extract original solution with 5-30 parts by weight of an extract original solution of ginko leaves, wherein the crude drug composition further comprises 0.1-0.6 parts by weight of polyquaternium-10, 0.3-2.5 parts by weight of glycerine, 0.05-0.4 parts by weight of PEG-14, 0.01-10 parts by weight of citric acid, 0.1-1 parts by weight of sodium citrate, 10-40 parts by weight of ammonium lauryl sulfate, 0.01-0.2 parts by weight of salicylic acid, 1-5 parts by weight of cocamide MEA, 1-10 parts by weight of ethylene glycol monostearate, 0.1-0.8 parts by weight of xanthan gum, 1-10 parts by weigh of dimethicone, 0.1-1 parts by weight of climbazole, 0.5-2 parts by weight of cetanol, 0.2-0.4 parts by weight of methyl paraben, 0.02-1 parts by weight of l-menthol, 0.1-0.8 parts by weight of perfume, 0.01-0.1 parts by weight of di-sodium ethylene diamine tetraacetate, 0.1-1 parts by weight of panthenyl ethyl ether, 0.5-2 parts by weight of NaCl, 0.1-3 parts by weight methylchloroisothiazolinone, and 10-40 parts by weight of purified water.
