<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily and more accurately acquire traveling characteristics of a mechanical shutter without increasing apparatus configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A method of acquiring traveling characteristics of rear blades in an image sensing apparatus including an XY address type image sensing element including a plurality of pixels for converting an incident object optical image into an electrical image signal and outputting it, the rear blade for shielding an exposure opening to the image sensing element and a storage means. The method comprises: acquisition steps (S34, S36) of acquiring the traveling characteristics of the rear blades based on the image signal output from a preset partial area of the image sensing element, and storing the acquired traveling characteristics into the storage means; a shifting step (S38) of shifting the partial area to a different position along the traveling direction of the light shielding member; and updating steps (S35, S36) of updating the traveling characteristics of the rear blades stored in the storage means, based on the image signal output from the partial area shifted to the different position moved in the moving step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
