<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hygienic rice ball preparing tool easily producing delicious rice balls similar to hand-made rice balls sustaining the shape of rice grains and moderately holding air between the rice grains and suitable for being used outside without getting burnt in the hand with hot boiled rice. <P>SOLUTION: This rice ball preparing tool comprises a container 1 having a hollow part 5 openings upward and downward, a bottom plate 2 detachable to the container 1 and closes the bottom opening of the hollow part 5 in attached state, a lid 3 pushing the boiled rice charged into the hollow part 5 from the upper opening side, and a handle 4 extended from the container 1.
