<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous carbon having high crystallinity, and a method for producing the same using a coordination polymer. <P>SOLUTION: The porous carbon is obtained by a process of forming a carbon-metal oxide composite by heating the coordination polymer, and a process of removing a metal oxide from the carbon-metal oxide composite.
