<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air flow control device for an internal combustion engine in which an air flow is suitably controlled. <P>SOLUTION: The air flow control device for an internal combustion engine includes: a plurality of cartridges 36 each disposed in an intake manifold for each intake passage 22 and forming a portion of the each intake passage 22; and a valve 30 including a plurality of valve discs 32 and a control shaft 31. A plurality of the valve discs 32 are individually disposed in the intake passages 22 formed by the plurality of the cartridges 36. The control shaft 31 penetrates the plurality of the cartridges 36. The control shaft 31 is connected to the plurality of the valve discs 32. The cartridges 36 are each disposed displaceably in an axial direction of the control shaft 31. The air flow control device for an internal combustion engine further includes a thrust bearing 40 for receiving a load in the axial direction of the control shaft 31 and keeping the valve disc 32 apart from an inner wall 22m of the intake passage 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
