PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal which detects each state appropriately and reduces restrictions on designing. SOLUTION: A collapsible mobile terminal wherein a first case 11 and a second case 12 are combined by a dual-shaft hinge 14 comprises: a magnet 21 and a Hall element 31 provided near the dual-shaft hinge 14, which are first detecting means of detecting the opened/closed state of the first case 11 and the second case 12; and a magnet 22 and a Hall element 32 provided at the edge of the case apart from the dual-shaft hinge 14, which are second detecting means of detecting the opened/closed state of the first case 11 and the second case 12.
