PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide roll that can prevent slippage between a web and a guide roll and wrinkles caused by a distortion relative to an apparatus or a web. SOLUTION: Only surface of the central part 16 of the guide roll 10 for guiding the traveling web W is treated for nonslip with striations, whereas the surfaces of both sides 18 are smoothly plated.
