<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device whose display characteristics scarcely vary even under high temperature and high humidity surroundings, and which has excellent manufacturability. <P>SOLUTION: Polarizing plates 20, 21 have polarizer layers 11, 17 and pairs of polarizer protective films A10, B12 and B16, A18. The polarizer protective films B12, 16 of the liquid crystal panel 14 sides out of the pairs of polarizer protective films are formed of a resin composed of two or more construction units of amorphous polymers as main components. Other polarizer protective films (the polarizer protective films A10, 18) out of the pairs of polarizer protective films are formed of a resin with specific gravity higher than that of the resin of the polarizer protective films B12, 16. By using this kind of polarizing plates, while variation of the display characteristics under high temperature and high humidity surroundings is suppressed, the liquid crystal display device is manufactured without reduction of the manufacturability in such a step as replacement of the polarizing plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
