PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely evade collision with an obstacle when a vehicle turns right or left. SOLUTION: A drive support device 10 for a vehicle is provided with: own-vehicle location detection means 1a and 2 for detecting the traveling location of its own vehicle A; a right/left turn lane detection means 1b for detecting that the of the own vehicle A is running on a lane L1 for right-turn or on a lane for left-turn based on the position of the own vehicle A detected by the own-vehicle location detection means 1a and 2; and an obstacle detection means 1c for detecting the obstacle of an opposite lane L2 opposite to the lane of the own vehicle A when it is detected that of the own vehicle A is running on the lane L1 for right-turn or the lane for left-turn by the right/left-turn lane detection means 1b.
