PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article with more outstanding deodorizing effect. SOLUTION: The absorptive article has deodorant particles produced by the copolymerization of a monomer component comprising a crosslinkable vinyl monomer and a vinyl monomer having a heteroaromatic ring, and which has a BET specific surface area of 10 m<SP>2</SP>/g or greater and a metal ion. The deodorant particle is preferably obtained by the oil-in-water-type suspension polymerization or precipitation polymerization. The absorptive article comprises a surface sheet 11, a backside sheet 12, and an absorptive body 10 placed therebetween.
