PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a Web browser to execute setting operations of both a matrix switcher having an interface of a general-purpose network and a matrix switcher not having this interface by using a matrix switcher which economically executes a switching processing/switching command transfer processing and a processing as a Web server which require high reliability and real time performance. SOLUTION: In the matrix switcher 1 in which a main control means and a backup control means are provided in a control section, the backup control means executes the processing as the Web server while the main control means is normally working. Thus, the Web browser such as a personal computer 6 can execute the setting operation of the matrix switchers 1, 2 having an interface of a general-purpose network 8 and the matrix switchers 3, 4 not having this interface via the general-purpose network 8.
