<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of inflating an airbag in three restraint patterns even if one actuator is controlled by on-off control. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device M is provided with the airbag 22, a tether 36, an exhaust mechanism 50 and an actuator 44. The tether 36 is locked with an operation piece 45 in such a manner that projection quantity inhibition mode can be established and the exhaust mechanism 50 release lock with the operation piece 45 in such a manner that exhaust gas quantity increase mode to open an exhaust port 51 when the actuator 44 operates. A lock part 40 of the tether 36 is separated from a lock position with the operation piece 45 in such a manner that projection quantity increase mode can be established and a valve element 55 of the exhaust mechanism 50 is locked with the operation piece 45 in such a manner that exhaust gas quantity inhibition mode to block an exhaust port 51 when the actuator 44 does not operate. The airbag device M can be shifted to exhaust gas quantity increase mode by operating the actuator 44 after establishing the tether 36 in the projection quantity increase mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
