PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate high acceleration and deceleration travel by surely applying appropriate wheel pressure on front and rear wheels in acceleration and deceleration. SOLUTION: A pair of rise prevention rollers 24, 25 are attached to a carriage 4 of a stacker crane via an oscillation base 26, and the oscillation base 26 is energized upward by a spring 30 to adjust wheel pressure acting on the rollers 24, 25. The rollers 24, 25 are abutted on a bottom surface of the travel rail 12 with wheel pressure determined by a spring 30 to apply appropriate wheel pressure on the drive wheel in acceleration and deceleration. Appropriate wheel pressure is applied to the drive wheels in high acceleration and deceleration of the stacker crane to facilitate high acceleration and deceleration travel.
