<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly switch an output state of an audio amplifier without interrupting or discontinuing reproduction sound when switching the output of the audio amplifier. <P>SOLUTION: An audio output device comprises gain control units L1-L8, C1-C8, R1-R8 to control and output gains for each audio signal generated in accordance with each of a plurality of sound field modes. When shifting a sound field mode among the plurality of sound field modes to switch to other sound field mode, gains to be set to the gain control units during a shifting term of switching are interpolated from gain setting values before and after switching and set to the gain control units, and the sound field mode is smoothly switched. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
