PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chopped glass strand mat securing rigidity necessary for an automotive molded ceiling material and enabling the automotive molded ceiling material for further lightweight than a conventional one, to provide a method for producing the chopped glass strand mat, and to provide such an automotive molded ceiling material using the same. SOLUTION: The chopped glass strand mat 19 is blended with 2-40 mass% of chopped glass strands having a strand count of 50 tex or greater, and preferably has an average count of chopped glass strands of 10-25 tex except the glass chopped strands having a strand count of 50 tex or greater. The method for producing the chopped glass strand mat 19 includes using glass fibers with the strand counts. The automotive molded ceiling material has the chopped glass strand mat 19 bonded onto the surface skin side of a foamed resin sheet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
