Preparation of a composition for topical application, comprises percolation of a fluid under pressure through herbal substances in solid or pasty form, where at least one of the plant substances contain polysaccharides and incorporation of the obtained extract in a concentrated preparation. Independent claims are included for: (1) the composition susceptible to be obtained by the process; (2) treating keratinous fibers, comprising preparing a cosmetic composition by the given process and applying the composition on the keratinous matter; and (3) a kit to carry out the process comprising receptacles adapted to the percolation under pressure by fluid, where the receptacles bounding a housing containing herbal substances containing polysaccharides and concentrated preparations.
