OPENING/CLOSING MECHANISM CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an opening/closing mechanism in which consideration is given to safety from a state with the occurrence of pinching.

SOLUTION: This opening/closing mechanism control device for controlling the opening/closing mechanism for a movable part and a nonmovable part or for a plurality of movable parts comprises an electrode having such a property that its characteristics are changed by the contact of foreign matter, and disposed at least at one of the movable part and the immovable part; a sensor circuit part connected to the electrode to supply a predetermined voltage signal to the electrode and to detect voltage of the signal generated to the electrode; and a control part which determines the contact of foreign matter when the voltage detected via the sensor circuit part is outside a normal time reference value range in the supplied state of the predetermined voltage signal to the electrode from the sensor circuit part. The control part determines the contact of foreign matter even in a period when the movable part is outside of closing operation and does not start closing operation even with a request for closing operation when the contact of foreign matter is determined in the period outside of the closing operation.
