PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leveler feeder, of which the sheet material releasing speed is high, in which a driving source used for the sheet material releasing mechanism is compact and which is equipped with a work roll mechanism manufactured at reduced costs. SOLUTION: The leveler feeder 100 for straightening the sheet material is equipped with a rolling reduction adjusting mechanism and a frame opening/closing mechanism. The rolling reduction adjusting mechanism is designed such that at least either of upper work rolls 103 and lower work rolls 102 are vertically movable toward the other. The frame opening/closing mechanism is equipped with a support section 106d which swings a swing frame 109 almost vertically round a swing fulcrum 114a by means of a releasing axis 113a rotated by the driving source. The frame opening/closing mechanism is furnished with a swing scope changing device which changes the swing scope of the support section 106d to an arbitrary position on a circumferential orbit so as to be free to change the ratio between the degree of the opening of the swing frame 109 at the time of releasing the sheet material and a straightening load given to the sheet material at the time of fastening the sheet material by pinching, with regard to a certain workload of the driving source.
