<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate in high accuracy a water amount retained in a fuel offgas flow channel for flowing fuel offgas exhausted from a fuel cell stack. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 10 is provided with a fuel cell stack 40 generating power with supply of fuel gas and oxidizing gas, a fuel offgas flow channel 23 for circulating fuel offgas exhausted from the fuel cell stack 40, an exhaust valve 31 fitted at the fuel offgas flow channel 23, an water amount sensor 74 detecting a displacement exhausted from the exhaust valve 31, and a controller 60 estimating a retained water amount of the fuel offgas flow channel based on the displacement detected by the water amount sensor 74 and controlling switching of the exhaust valve 31 based on the estimated retaining water amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
