PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door closing implement which makes a sliding door forcedly drawn to a door closing-side terminal end by bringing the sliding door close to the vicinity of the door closing-side end of the sliding door, and brings about a proper and quiet door closing operation by properly decreasing the speed of the sliding door immediately before the completion of the closing of the sliding door, and a door closing unit of the sliding door. SOLUTION: An elastic tensile implement 3 in which one end of a linear member 33 is fixed to a proper place on the outer periphery of a drum 31 rotated by a spring 32 is provided in a casing 5, and a reciprocating hydraulic damper 4 for generating resistance T resisting an elastic force F of the spring 32 is provided. The linear member 33 is connected to a sliding member 1 so as to be moved backward from the front in the casing 5, and a hook member 2 is pivotally supported on and connected to the sliding member 1.
