PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device which has a wide color gamut of four or more colors, the electrooptical device capable of achieving suitable driving during partial display, and electronic equipment. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the electrooptical device which has pixels with color filters of at least four or more colors and in which switching between a full-screen display mode and a partial display mode is made possible, the electrooptical device being characterized in that when pixels of, for example, four colors R, G, B, and C are arranged on adjacent first and second scanning line groups in a shape of a two by two matrix and demultiplex driving is performed, pixel data of the four colors are supplied onto the first and second scanning line groups by two colors each in the full-screen display mode, and in the partial display mode, the amplitude of a horizontal scanning signal is made different from the amplitude in the full-screen display mode for the first or second scanning line group in the display area of the partial display mode without supplying data to pixels of C by stopping an image processing circuit performing color conversion from R, G, and B to R, G, B, and C.
